Ellie Goulding - born Elena Jane Goulding (30 December 1986) in Hereford (England) She is an English musician and singer. Having caught the public's attention in 2010 through her hits "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses" British vocalist Ellie Goulding quickly climbed to the top of the charts with her energetic electronic pop. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding has a unique soprano scream and a knack of writing songs with emotional positive lyrics. Similar to her peers Kate Bush or Imogen, she's on the cutting edge in the world of mainstream and arty independent music. Polydor Records eventually signed Goulding to a major recording deal.
