Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback performer and a musician who works most often in Tamil as well as Malayalam film languages. She first made an appearance as an actor with the Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut with Annayum raolum. Andrea Jeremiah was born in Anglo-Indian born in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father works as a lawyer at the Madras High Court. Also, she has an older sister who works as a research associate in Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah hails from Chennai. She attended National Public School, and then graduated Women's Christian College. Andrea started studying classical piano when she was eight. Andrea was a huge fan of geeks and wanted to be a psychiatrist. She joined The Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars when she was 10. It was this group that shaped her musical and singing career. In her college she also was an actor and appeared in stage productions that were put on through The Madras Players. She served as the president of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea started her career in theatre through Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. She was a part of Shiva as part of a commercial for a coffee. The actress also appeared in a television show that was telecast on Podhigai. The actress performed all over India. She played a brief part in Kanda Mudhal in 2005, which is the climax. Gautham V. Menon invited her after she appeared in the Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu film to be featured as the lead female character for Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea plays Kalyani who is married and mother to a man who has an affair. Andrea was chosen for the part after actors Simran Tabu and Tabu were approached. The film was first released in the year 2010. The film was released in August 2011. Venkat Prabhu launched his multi-starrer Mankatha. The film was commissioned to play a minor support role. Annayum Rasoolum by Rajeev Ravi, the romantic comedy film that she debuted in Malayalam in, was released on August 11, 2013.
