Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th in 1967. Julia Fiona Roberts is the 4th generation Roberts living in Atlanta. Her father had an early interest in the theatre. While in school at Emory University in 1952 he acted in productions on campus and elsewhere in Atlanta. In 1953, he joined the Air Force, and was stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi acted in a play together with Betty Lou Bredemus. They got married in the year 1955, and their first son Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter was a student at Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana after he left the Airforce in 1957. Walter was recruited as a technician by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to work on the set of the show Bum Bum and His Buddies in Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou started production in 1964 for the children's local Saturday morning TV show Bum Bum and His Buddies that they self-funded. They established an Actors and Writers Workshop in the same year, which lasted six years. The couple had another two children, Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also called Lisa) and Julia Billingsley (1967) (also also known by the same name Julie).
