Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in the city of Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes and Alison Kruss were the two youngest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss, born 23rd July 1971, is an American musician and singer. Her career in music began in the early years, winning local contests by when she was 10 years old, and recording for the first time when she was 14 years old. After signing to Rounder Records, her first album was released in 1987. She was then invited to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, her current band that she sings together. Her first album in a group with this band came out in the year 1989.
