Dua lipa is a British performer/singer born on 22 August 1995 in London. After being a model for a fashion magazine, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her first album. The album climbed to number 3 among the U.K. Charts and produced eight singles. They included Be The One I.D.G.A.F, the U.K. Number One single New Rules as well as the U.K. No. 1 single New Rules. Lipa was awarded her Brit Awards in the year 2018 for British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act. The album was certified platinum across several countries around the world. Dua Lipa was was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London on August 22, 1995. Her parents are of Bosnian heritage through her maternal grandparents. Her ancestors can be traced all the way back to Peja the city of Kosovo. The two grandparents of Lipa are historians. The siblings of Lipa are Rina and Gjin. Lipa was musically influenced by her father the guitarist and lead singer of the Kosovan rock group Oda. In the family, her father would continue playing music which included his own compositions and songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa started singing as young as the age of five. When she was nine years old, Lipa started to sing at her school, the Sylvia Young Theater School.
